Back in 2014 Christian Kortenhorst laser cut a Tog sign and put some awesome LED’s in it. Check out the build video on our youtube channel. We have used the sign over the years in our spaces and taken to so many events. Unfortunately, it has taken a bit of a bashing over the years with the front panel coming loose. Plugging in the wrong power supply final saw it die.

Tog has a monthly Science Fiction Bookclub. They meet once a month and currently virtually via discord. In the past, we have read books like Hothouse, Nemesis and The Fifth Head of Cerberus to name just a few. The club has had it’s exciting over the years with authors turning up to take about their own book and the strangeness of the members developing a love for lemon flavoured cake.
When it comes to picking a book we have three guiding rules.
This month they are reading “Blind Lake” by Robert Charles Wilson. All are welcome to join us on Wednesday 7th of October from 7pm .

As we are all a bit obsessed with data these days, check out this project by our member Jeffrey Roe. A weather station to capture up local conditions. The kit is from dfrobot.com. It comes with an anemometer, wind vane, rain bucket and temperature and humidity sensor.
