At Tog Hackerspace, one of our core values is connecting with communities and supporting initiatives that align with our mission to inspire creativity and innovation. Recently, we had the pleasure of collaborating with Women+ in STEM UCD, a society dedicated to supporting women in STEM fields and encouraging students to discover the exciting opportunities STEM has to offer.
For GamerFest, an event aimed at showcasing the fun and creativity within STEM, Women+ in STEM UCD reached out to us for help. They needed equipment and games to add an interactive, hands-on element to their booth, and we were thrilled to step in. The event turned out to be a fantastic success, introducing students to the lighter, more enjoyable side of STEM-centered hobbies while fostering curiosity and engagement.
Sharing resources with communities like Women+ in STEM UCD embodies what Tog Hackerspace is all about. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see our equipment and ideas spark excitement and inspire future STEM enthusiasts.
