We are hosting the Dublin Linux Community for their November meetup. You can find out all about their meetup below.
We are delighted to announce the first Dublin Linux Hackerspace meetup hosted in TOG Hackerspace Dublin (tog.ie). A match made in heaven! We will also have a swap shop for any random tech and gadgets that you think might be useful to someone else. Please note that you do not need to be a member of TOG to attend but if you are interested in joining we will have tours of the space and information on the membership process.
What To Expect
Bring your laptop and any projects you’re working on or just come if you’re curious about Linux and would like to learn more. Don’t be shy as everyone will be more than willing to help. Beginners are welcome just as much as seasoned greybeards!Facilities
We will have tables, chairs, WiFi and a projector. TOG even has a small tuckshop for drinks and snacks as well as an oven and microwave for nibbles.Tech Swap Shop
We will be trying out a swap shop where we will designate a table for any random techy stuff that might be useful to other people to save it from landfill or cluttering up drawers. Stuff like old computers that could be repurposed, spare cables, electronic components you have no need for, stickers for laptops etc. Use your imagination! We will leave it all on a table for people to help themselves to. Please note that you cannot leave what you bring if nobody takes it. You must take it back with you at the end of the event. This is to avoid cluttering up the Hackerspace to be respectful to our hosts.https://www.meetup.com/dublin-linux-community/events/304274817
